About this timer
The classic wait for instant cup noodles, and a good starting point for black tea. Check the packet: some brands ask for 4 or 5 minutes.
A few minutes is the classic kitchen and workout interval: steeping tea, soft-boiling eggs, resting between sets, or capping a discussion that tends to run long. The countdown stays accurate if you switch tabs, because it is anchored to a real clock time - but if your phone locks, it usually cannot ring on time.
